We offer personalized 1-on-1 classes with experienced French-speaking instructors, helping children build confidence and develop a genuine love for the French language.
Position Overview
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Online French Teacher to join our growing team.
This is a flexible, remote teaching position where you will provide personalized one-on-one French lessons to children. We provide the curriculum and teaching materials, while encouraging teachers to bring their own energy, creativity, and personality to each lesson.
The ideal candidate knows how to create a warm, playful, and supportive learning environment and can adapt their teaching style to each child’s age, level, personality, and learning needs.
Availability
To best serve our U.S.-based students, we are currently particularly interested in teachers who can offer regular availability during afternoons and evenings in the U.S. Eastern Time zone (ET). Candidates based in Canada, the U.S., or Latin America are welcome to apply, as our students follow U.S. Eastern Time schedules.
Saturday availability is also a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized, high-quality one-on-one French instruction.
- Teach 15, 25, or 50-minute online classes using our structured curriculum and teaching materials.
- Deliver playful, interactive, and engaging lessons that keep children motivated.
- Adapt lessons and activities to each student’s level, personality, and learning needs.
- Encourage students to speak French and build confidence through positive interaction.
Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of experience teaching French to children online.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in French, languages, education, or a related field.
- Mastery-level French (CEFR C2 or equivalent).
- Experience working with children as a teacher, tutor, or teaching assistant.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Ability to engage children and adapt to different ages, levels, and personalities.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
- Proficiency with Zoom and PowerPoint.
Technical Requirements
- A desktop computer, laptop, or tablet with a webcam.
- A stable and reliable internet connection.
- Good audio quality for online teaching. A headset is recommended when necessary.
