The Tiger and the pastry
Dans une grande forêt tropicale, habite un tigre nommé Tom.
Contrairement aux autres tigres, il adore les pâtisseries.
In a vast tropical forest lives a tiger named Tom.
Unlike other tigers, he loves pastries.
Il rêve souvent des croissants croustillants, des tartes sucrées et des biscuits dorés. Un matin, il décide d’aller en ville pour découvrir une vraie pâtisserie.
Il marche doucement sur le trottoir, évite les voitures et s’arrête devant une grande vitrine. À travers la vitre, il voit des tartes aux pommes, des éclairs au chocolat et des gâteaux décorés.
He often dreams of crispy croissants, sweet tarts, and golden cookies. One morning, he decides to go to the city to discover a real pastry shop.
He walks carefully on the sidewalk, avoids the cars, and stops in front of a large window. Through the glass, he sees apple tarts, chocolate éclairs, and beautifully decorated cakes.
Quand il entre dans le magasin, une clochette sonne.
Le pâtissier, surpris, regarde Tom et demande :
– « Que puis-je faire pour toi, grand tigre ?»
Tom sourit et répond :
– « Je veux goûter des éclairs au chocolat, de la tarte aux fraises et des croissants bien dorés. »
When he enters the shop, a little bell rings. The baker, surprised, looks at Tom and asks, « What can I do for you, big tiger? »
Tom smiles and replies, « I want to taste chocolate éclairs, strawberry tart, and perfectly golden croissants. »
Le pâtissier prépare une grande assiette et dépose les pâtisseries sur le comptoir.
Tom s’assoit sur un petit tabouret et commence à déguster chaque dessert avec plaisir.
Il croque un biscuit, il goûte du caramel et il savoure une mousse au chocolat.
The baker prepares a large plate and places the pastries on the counter.
Tom sits on a small stool and starts tasting each dessert with delight.
He bites into a cookie, tastes the caramel, and savors a chocolate mousse.
Chaque bouchée est un délice !
Il ferme les yeux et soupire de bonheur.
Le pâtissier rit et dit :
– « Tu as vraiment un grand appétit ! »
Tom répond :
– « Oui, je peux manger des gâteaux toute la journée ! »
Each bite is a delight! He closes his eyes and sighs with happiness.
The baker laughs and says, « You really have a big appetite! »
Tom replies, « Yes, I could eat cakes all day long! »
Après son festin, il remercie le pâtissier et demande :
– « Est-ce que je peux revenir demain ? »
Le pâtissier sourit et dit :
– « Bien sûr, mais la prochaine fois, amène des amis ! »
After his feast, he thanks the baker and asks, « Can I come back tomorrow? »
The baker smiles and says, « Of course, but next time, bring some friends! »
Tom leaves the pastry shop with sugar on his whiskers and happiness in his heart.
Back in the forest, he tells his friends about his adventure.
The following Sunday, he returns with an elephant, a monkey, a cat, and a parrot.
They all pick out pastries and have a wonderful time together.
Tom sort de la pâtisserie avec du sucre sur la moustache et du bonheur dans le cœur. Dans la forêt, il raconte son aventure à ses amis.
Le dimanche suivant, il revient avec un éléphant, un singe, un chat et un perroquet.
Tous choisissent des gâteaux et passent un bon moment ensemble.
Depuis ce jour, la pâtisserie accueille des animaux chaque semaine.
Tom, le tigre gourmand, devient le meilleur client et apprend même à faire des gâteaux avec le pâtissier.
Il découvre le plaisir de partager et de cuisiner avec ses amis.
From that day on, the pastry shop welcomes animals every week. Tom,
the gourmet tiger, becomes the best customer and even learns how to bake with the baker.
He discovers the joy of sharing and cooking with his friends.
