"A young shepherd with his sheep."

A long time ago, in a small village in the south of France, a young shepherd named Martin tended to his sheep. Every day, he walked in the mountains and watched over his flock.

One morning, he prepares his meal. He has a piece of bread and a fresh cheese made from sheep’s milk. He sits down near a cave to eat.

Suddenly, he spots a beautiful young girl in the distance. She is walking through the fields of flowers. He wants to join her. He places his meal in the cave and runs towards her.

But the young girl quickly disappears. The shepherd searches for her everywhere, but he can’t find her. Sad and tired, he returns home without his meal.

Days pass, then weeks. The shepherd forgets his cheese in the cave.

Le berger hésite. Le fromage est-il encore bon ? Il le sent. L’odeur est forte mais agréable. Il décide de goûter un petit morceau.

Surprise !

One day, he returns to that place. He enters the cave and finds his old cheese. It has turned completely blue! It has little spots all over.

The shepherd hesitates. Is the cheese still good? He smells it. The odor is strong but pleasant. He decides to taste a small piece.

Surprise! The cheese is delicious. It has a unique flavor, stronger than the fresh cheese. The shepherd is happy.
